One of the questions I get asked most often is: “Where should we be taking our corporate events in Asia-Pacific right now?” After spending so much of my time in this region — visiting venues, running site inspections, and helping clients plan everything from leadership summits to incentive trips — I’ve narrowed it down to five destinations that really stand out for 2025.
1. Singapore
Singapore has always been my go-to when clients want things to run seamlessly. It’s not the cheapest city in the region, but the infrastructure is unbeatable. Venues like Marina Bay Sands and Singapore Expo can handle thousands of delegates without a hitch, and Changi Airport makes it incredibly easy for international teams to get here. I always tell clients: if you need a safe pair of hands, Singapore delivers.
2. Bangkok, Thailand
Bangkok is one of my favorites for big, high-energy gatherings. The Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park is a property I often recommend, and the city also has fantastic large-scale venues like BITEC and IMPACT. What I like about Bangkok is the balance, you can host a very professional event during the day, and then have the team immersed in Thai culture and nightlife in the evening. It also helps that budgets go further here than in many other capitals.
3. Sydney, Australia
Sydney works brilliantly for leadership-level events and global conferences. The ICC Sydney is a world-class facility, but what makes Sydney stand out is the backdrop. I’ve arranged dinners overlooking the Opera House and incentive days in the Blue Mountains, it’s a city that adds an extra layer of memorability to any program. The timezone also makes sense for companies bringing people in from across Asia and North America.
4. Tokyo, Japan
Tokyo is where I recommend clients go when they want to make a real impact. It’s one of the most impressive cities I’ve worked in, the venues, the transport, and the scale of what’s possible here are on another level. But what really elevates an event in Tokyo is the blend of modern and traditional experiences you can layer in. It’s not the easiest city logistically, but when done well, the payoff is incredible.
5. Bali, Indonesia
Bali has really established itself as a corporate hotspot, especially for incentives and retreats. I spend a lot of time here myself, and I’ve seen first-hand how inspiring it can be for teams. This isn’t about giant convention halls — it’s about private villas, beachfront resorts, and wellness programs that leave people feeling rewarded. For companies that want their event to be more of an experience than a meeting, Bali is a perfect choice.

Final Thoughts
These destinations each shine in their own way. If you want efficiency and flawless delivery, Singapore is the natural choice. For energy and scale, Bangkok is hard to beat. Sydney combines world-class business with stunning scenery, Tokyo makes a statement like nowhere else, and Bali offers an experience that’s immersive and inspiring.
The best destination really depends on your “why”, whether that’s to impress, to connect, or to reward your team.
